All Tribes Radio - Episode 18 - Between Worlds

Featuring Music by Los Arcanos, Denise Murz, Brad Sucks, The Patinettes, and more…

As the cycle turns and the seasons shift, All Tribes Radio brings its current broadcast journey to a gentle close.

Framed by the Costa Rican National Anthem, Episode 18 is a reflective transmission—an hour of music and atmosphere that lingers at the threshold between presence and pause. These selections carry the spirit of the series: voices from across cultures, textures from distant places, and a shared resonance that transcends borders.

From the first note to the final fade, this broadcast is less an ending than a suspension—a signal held in quiet space, waiting to return.

To all who have tuned in across continents and oceans, who have listened through static and signal, who have sent reception reports and words of connection—thank you. Your presence has been part of the transmission. Also, many thanks to Channel 292 for continuing to host us.

While shortwave broadcasts pause for the summer, the music continues. The archive remains open. The signal, in its own way, never fully disappears.

We will return in the fall.

Until then—

This is Planet Earth station All Tribes Radio… signing off for now.

EPISODE 16 - SONIC ECOLOGY

Shortwave Broadcast: Sunday, March 15, 2026, 1400-1500 UTC, 9670 kHz via Channel 292, Rohrbach, Germany.

Streaming on: All Tribes Radio

Featuring music by: ARTIC, La Malarazza, Ruth Theodore, and many more…

The Canadian composer and environmental thinker R. Murray Schafer introduced the concept of the soundscape to describe the acoustic environment as something alive — a dynamic field shaped by wind and water, machines and voices, footsteps, birdsong, and distant signals. In Schafer’s vision, listening becomes a form of ecological awareness. Sound is not merely background; it is the living texture of a place.

Episode 16 of All Tribes Radio grows from this idea. If the world itself can be understood as a soundscape, then the music that moves across it might be understood as a sonic ecology — a living network of rhythm, melody, and atmosphere circulating through cultures and landscapes.

Within this hour-long transmission, instruments, voices, and electronic currents move through the program like migrating patterns of energy. Percussion pulses like a heartbeat through the terrain, melodic lines drift like wind across open water, and ambient textures gather like weather systems forming on the horizon. Each piece of music becomes a small ecological presence within the larger environment of listening.

What emerges is not simply a playlist but a shared acoustic habitat — a place where traditions intersect and new relationships of sound appear. Organic percussion may brush against digital atmospheres. Ancient tonalities resonate beside contemporary production. Across geography and culture, the music adapts and responds, much as living systems do.

Broadcast through shortwave frequencies and digital streams, All Tribes Radio imagines radio in its most hopeful form: a signal cast outward from this small planet, carrying fragments of human creativity into the wider field of listening. Across orbit, jungle, circuitry, and skin, the vibrations travel.

A living transmission from Earth’s sonic ecology.

EPISODE 15 - ACROSS ORBIT AND SKIN

SHORTWAVE TRANSMISSION: Sunday, March 8, 2026, 1400-1500 UTC, 9670 kHz

STREAMING ON ALL TRIBES RADIO

With gratitude to musicians such as Professor Kliq, Denise Murz, Alex Valentin, and the many artists whose work shapes this hour, Episode 15 unfolds as a journey across distance — geographic, technological, and biological.

It opens in orbit.

A lone astronaut drifts in luminous suspension, listening for something more than silence. Beneath her, in a steaming jungle lit by torchlight, drums awaken. Fire pushes back the night. Bodies move. Rhythm organizes darkness into coherence.

Between orbit and jungle stands a third presence: DJ android, chrome-precise, spinning vinyl with mechanical grace. The machine does not replace the drum — it extends it. Organic percussion meets electronic architecture. Torchlight flickers through digital waveform.

Across orbit, jungle, circuitry, and skin, something coherent persists.

Shortwave radio makes this more than metaphor. When transmitted, sound becomes electromagnetic motion — lifted into the atmosphere, bent by the ionosphere, scattered and received across distance. Unlike streaming, which arrives intact and invisible, shortwave reminds us that transmission is alive. It fades. It shimmers. It carries weather and space within it.

Life itself depends on signal. Neurons fire. Hearts pulse. Cells exchange coded messages. Organisms survive by distinguishing pattern from noise. Music is one of our oldest signaling systems — the drum circle preceding the broadcast tower, firelight preceding circuitry — yet the principle remains the same: rhythm binds tribes.

In this episode, the jungle drummer and DJ android are not opposites but evolutionary layers. The machine becomes a secondary nervous system, amplifying human intention beyond the limits of skin.

The torches keep the night alive.
The records keep spinning.

The signal is not merely sound traveling through space. It is life extending itself — rhythm crossing distance, pattern resisting entropy.

EPISODE 14 - HARMONIES OF THE SOUL

Episode 14

Harmonies of the Soul: Bridging Ancient and Modern Worlds

International Rhythms from Planet Earth

Episode 14 of All Tribes Radio moves to a vibrant Latin pulse—rhythmic, global, and deeply human. This hour brings together sacred traditions and contemporary sonic architecture, weaving organic percussion, ceremonial textures, and modern production into a unified field of sound.

Featuring music from Brain Control, Peter Fox Simon, and Fonogeri, the episode travels across cultures while maintaining a steady heart-centered momentum. Ancient tonalities meet digital atmospheres. Acoustic resonance blends with subtle electronic layering. The result is neither retro nor futuristic—it is integrative.

This program reflects a vision of a brave new world rooted in love and peace among all sentient beings. The drum and the circuit board coexist. Tradition and technology collaborate rather than compete. Rhythm becomes the common language of a planetary community.

International in scope. Grounded on Earth.
Open to the Universe.

Many thanks to our musicians:

EPISODE 13 - HELD IN THE LISTENING

February 22, 2026 1400-1500 UTC 9670 kHZ Ch. 292 Rohrbach, Germany

Streaming @ All Tribes Radio

There is a kind of listening that does not seek information, explanation, or resolution. It does not ask sound to perform or persuade. It simply stays.

This episode of All Tribes Radio is shaped around that quieter mode of attention — the kind that emerges once the signal is clear, the body has settled, and the need to interpret has softened. Here, music is not foregrounded as spectacle or statement, but as an environment: something we enter, inhabit, and are gently changed by.

Across cultures and traditions, music has long served this role. It has held grief, marked transitions, sustained communities, and created spaces where presence could be shared without words. In that sense, listening is never solitary. Even when we are alone, we are participating in a field of resonance that extends beyond us.

This episode invites that participation without instruction. The selections are patient, textural, and spacious — less concerned with arrival than with duration. What matters is not what the music means, but what it allows: a slowing of attention, a widening of breath, a sense of being accompanied.

For those tuning in via shortwave radio, this kind of listening may feel familiar — the way sound arrives imperfectly, shaped by distance and atmosphere, asking us to meet it halfway. For others listening online, the invitation is the same: not to consume, but to remain.

All Tribes Radio is, at heart, a call to shared presence.
This episode rests there.

EPISODE 12 - EMBODIED LISTENING

Featuring: Héctor Tobo Ris Charm Goldmund

February 15, 2026. 1400-1500 UTC 9670 kHZ from Rohrbach, Germany

Streaming @ All Tribes Radio

Listening is often treated as a mental act—something we analyze, interpret, or evaluate. But before any of that happens, sound meets the body. Pressure waves move through air, reach the ear, and set a physical process in motion. Attention follows more slowly, adjusting not by effort, but by accommodation.

Embodied Listening, Episode 12 of All Tribes Radio, is shaped by this quieter understanding of how music is received. The selections gathered here invite the ear to settle into sound as a physical presence—weight, texture, rhythm—rather than as information to be decoded. Listening becomes less about recognition and more about resonance.

The music moves across cultures, languages, and tonal landscapes, allowing each piece to arrive on its own terms. Some sounds feel close, others distant or diffuse, but all participate in the same exchange between vibration and perception. As the ear adjusts, distinctions soften: foreground and background blur, intention yields to sensation, and listening becomes something the body does naturally.

Rooted in the sensibility of shortwave listening, this episode values patience over immediacy. It favors sound that unfolds gradually, revealing itself through sustained attention rather than instant clarity. Embodied Listening offers an hour to remain with sound long enough for perception itself to shift—to notice how music is not simply heard, but felt, and how connection often emerges through attunement rather than understanding.

EPISODE 11 - AS THE STATIC FADES

Shortwave Broadcast: Sunday, February 8, 2026 1400-1500 UTC 9670 kHz

Streaming on All Tribes Radio

Featuring: SEBTEIX FHERNANDO PORNOPHONIQUE

There is a particular moment familiar to anyone who has spent time with shortwave radio—the instant when noise loosens its grip and something human begins to emerge. A voice, a rhythm, a melody from elsewhere. Not perfectly, not permanently, but long enough to remind us that connection still travels through the air.

As the Static Fades, Episode 11 of All Tribes Radio, unfolds as an hour of attentive listening shaped by that experience. The music gathered here comes from many places and languages, discovered along the edges of the dial rather than delivered by algorithm or trend. These are sounds encountered through searching and chance—music that asks for patience and offers quiet reward in return.

The sequence moves fluidly across regions and moods, allowing textures, voices, and rhythms to surface naturally before drifting away again. Some signals arrive clearly, others only partially, but each carries a sense of human intention traveling across distance. There is no rush toward resolution, only a sustained openness to what appears when listening is given time and care.

Whether heard via shortwave transmission, streamed online, or through headphones, Episode 11 creates a space for stillness and sustained attention. In a world saturated with noise and urgency, As the Static Fades offers a different proposition: that meaning can still be found in fragments, that listening itself is a form of meeting, and that even amid interference, something human persists—waiting to be heard.
